Dr Abhihek Ranjan is the first superspecialist trained in DM Clinical haematology in whole of Jharkhand. He is trained in diagnosis and treatment of people with blood related disorders. These include blood cancers(Leukemias, lymphomas, Multiple Myelomas, etc), disorders associated with low Hemoglobin( various types of anemia including thalassemia and sickle cell anemia, Iron deficiency anemia, megaloblastic anemia, Autoimmune hemolytic anemia etc), Platelet disorders (ITP etc), WBC disorders(leucopenia etc),Bone marrow failure syndromes, Aplastic anemia, Bleeding disorders ( Hemophilias and others). He is especially trained in treating all blood cancers like AML, ALL, Multiple Myelomas, CML, Hodgkins lymphoma, NHL etc.
Dr Abhishek has done his MD from the prestigious Grant Medical college and JJ group of hospitals, Mumbai. After finishing his MD degree, he has undergone three years of rigorous training in DM Clinical hematology from one of the most prestigious and largest department of Clinical haematology of Madras Medical college, Chennai, Tamilnidu where he was trained in malignant and benign hematology including Bone marrow transplantation. During this period he gained knowledge in chemotherapy and side effects, as well as targeted immunotherapy. He was actively involved in all CMEs, seminars and post graduates teaching programmes.He has also worked as an Assistant Professor at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.
